A portfolio site featuring the web and print design work of Philip Meissner.
It is a “responsive web design” using media queries that comes in 4 sizes—from mobile to widescreen. To achieve this I used:
1. A simple CSS framework called Less Framework 3 http://lessframework.com/
2. A jQuery plugin called Media Queries for IE compatibility http://plugins.jquery.com/project/MediaQueries
3. MX Mobile Device Detect plugin to load or remove content based on the device viewing the content. For example, on the large screen version there are thumbnails to click on, but on the mobile version, I didn’t load that section because it wasn’t appropriate and to save http requests. http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/mx-mobile-device-detect/
4. And CE Image plugin to render smaller images for mobile devices http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/ce-image/
The headline typeface used is Bryant 2 served via Typekit.
