Mark Charles Handmade Boots
Ecommerce website and brand showcase for a new designer footwear collection. We chose ExpressionEngine for the project to give the maximum amount of flexibility and integration between the brand content and commercial areas, and to alow us to evolve the site with the brand over time without costly back end redevelopment.
A number of customer care features such as the free re-heel service were also not easiiy available on other ecommerce solutions but were quickly achievable using the data structure of CartThrob. Using CartThrob as the ecommerce engine allowed us to quickly develop a checkout processes which had been tested through HTML prototypes, and allow us to carry on future A/B testing of more complex areas such as alternative product zoom tools than Google Optimiser could allow for. Solspace User helped build a slicker registration process and CT Admin simplified order processing for the client.

I’ve recently bought some Mark Charles’ boots from Denver classifieds and they are my favorites as they are very modern and also comfortable. He has some interesting models and high quality products.
