These guys have been putting together adventure trips for city dwellers for years under the name Urban Escapes. Recently they were acquired by livingsocial.com and now go by LivingSocial Adventures.
The site is built on the Structure module and couldn’t be simpler to use. Because Fox-EE integrates seamlessly with the Weblog module, creating a new trip only takes a few clicks of the mouse.
Once a “Trip Type” has been entered for a City as a Structure page, the sub pages all use its information. The trip date, price, and inventory are all that is needed to create a new trip.
The e-commerce portion is unique because they are selling spots on a trip not a shippable or download-able product. So instead of color and size, they needed to collect information like ‘Emergency Contact’ and names of each person going on the trip.
If signing up more than just yourself for a trip, more fields can be loaded via jQuery’s .load() method. Once everyone’s information has been entered, each person is added to the cart as a separate ‘item’. Accomplishing this required using a combination of Fox-EE tags and FoxyCart’s native methods.
Another problem was compiling trip rosters. Fox-EE stores all purchases in its own database tables, so with a little help from the Query module a “Trip Manager” was born that allows them to see and print a “Trip Roster” for each trip.

Wow.. i love this website! it’s really inspiring! I like the design and as well the logos and pictures that you have chosen for them! Usually is hard to make a website with many group pictures that have to look good together, blended, but this one is great!
