Lakeside Coffee
This website was built for a local coffee house in Rouses Point, New York. The concept behind the site was to showcase the amazing coffee and food that was offered at Lakeside Coffee. Lakeside Coffee is a relaxed, fun atmosphere that customers of all ages can enjoy. We wanted the home page to be visually captivating to entice people to go Lakeside Coffee.
The site was built with 5 channels for Pages, For Sale, Events, Coffee Types and Coffee Grinds. Lakeside Coffee has creation and editing capabilities for all channels.
The Pages channel contains all basic page content for the site. This channel contains custom fields for Page Content and Header Image. Lakeside Coffee can add, edit and remove pages using Structure. Wygwam was used to allow easy creation and editing of content. SEO Lite was implemented to manage Page Titles, Meta Keywords and Meta Descriptions. Imgsizer was used to auto-size/crop the header images to the correct dimensions.
The For Sale channel contains all of the unique coffees that are available for online purchase. Simple Commerce was originally considered for the PayPal integration, but after further thought we decided to make our own custom fields and PayPal script. This allowed Lakeside Coffee to add all product information on a single channel entry form. Custom fields are setup for Description, Net Weight and Price. A File Upload field was created for the Product Image. Imgsizer was used to auto-size/crop the product images to the correct dimensions. A Relationship Field was setup to provide a dropdown selector for Coffee Type which uses values from the Coffee Types channel.
The Events channel contains all event data for the site. Lakeside Coffee’s events can include everything from live music to yoga classes. The Event Description field is used for all event data. Wygwam was used to allow easy creation and editing of content.
The Coffee Types and Coffee Grinds are very simple channels that allow Lakeside Coffee to create, edit and delete entries. A File Upload field was used for the Coffee Type images you can see on the Shop Online page.
