Heather the Realtor
Heather Unger, a well-known realtor in the Orlando area, called on us to give her web presence a visual refresher and add some great new functionality.
From a design perspective this project was a lot of fun because we got to break the mold of the typical real estate site in more ways that one. Rather than overwhelm the visitor with a ton of properties, we decided early on to showcase Heather. After all, it’s her expertise and personality that make her one of the top-rated realtors in the entire state of Florida and a regular guest on HGTV shows like House Hunters. The upper portion of the homepage features a large portrait of Heather set against a custom illustration of the downtown Orlando area. The entire design has a flirty, feminine appeal that makes use of fuchsia with rich neutrals and lemonade yellow as accents.
From a functionality standpoint we moved the site from ExpressionEngine 1.6 to ExpressionEngine 2, integrating a featured properties channel, blog, Facebook wall feed, MLS search module and live chat interface.
As an added bonus this site has a mobile-ready version too! Try visiting from your iPhone to see an alternative layout.

I have all my admiration and respect for ExpressionEngine 2, because this tool is taking all real estate clients to a new dimension of high quality standards in purchase and rentals. I assume the regular chase after apartments for rent in New Orleans along the year will be much easier now for all the clients.

I recently moved to the Orlando aria and a friend from a rubbish removal Vancouver company said that Heather is the best there is here. After contacting her and seeing 3 houses she found me the perfect one. I strongly recommend you contact her if you move in this aria and you are in need of a house.

I was looking at Heather the Realtor Homes and I fall in love with those houses. I was looking for a new house in Texas and I was wondering how much the mortgage could be. I like her, and the way you portrayed her through the website makes her look very reliable, which I think is the most important thing when you look for someone to help you invest your money. She also seems to have a few regular customers, which says something about her too. I’ve been working with the same mortgage broker Newcastle so I think developing a lasting business relationship takes a lot of time and effort, but is s important.

While working as a realtor at the Miami real estate South Beach agency, I’ve seen hundreds of real estate related sites. What struck me about this one is that the focus isn’t on properties but on the real estate agent herself, Heather Unger. It’s her skills and credentials that are emphasized and her image is promoted. After all, it’s her expertize people are looking for in the first place.
