Based in San Jose, CA, Fireclay Tile is the leading ceramic tile company using recycled materials and sustainable manufacturing practices. They make the highest quality, most durable and aesthetic hand-made ceramic materials using “old world” methods that are unique, affordable, and green. With 5 lines of tile, over 250 “standard colors”, hundreds of field, trim, and deco shapes, and countless installation ideas, Fireclay Tile had a monumental task in getting its website up and running.
The site was originally built on 1.6, but with commerce and more cataloging looming in the future, it was upgraded to EE version 2 in early 2011. AJW CSVGrab/DataGrab has been a key player in getting data and images into the website, from the glaze colors to the inspiration gallery. The site is continually evolving with the company, and EE version 2 was the obvious platform for this dynamic and sustainable company that produces some of the most beautiful tile installations you’ll ever see.
