Find Bacon
FindBacon displays sizzling hot jobs for designers and developers. Instead of having to check numerous job boards across the web, we’ve cataloged all the data in one place, providing easy searching, tagging, and location-based listings.
Technically speaking, we are running EE 2.2.1, importing data from other sites using Andrew Weaver’s AJW Datagrab. This is an especially handy tool because we are able to pull in RSS feeds, as well as pulling in XML files from API’s such as Authentic Jobs provides. For tagging, locations, and search, we rely on Solspace’s Super Search.
We tried using Natural Logic’s Geotagger and Solspace’s Tag, but that required us to manually open and adjust each entry, which would lead to a lot of man-hours that we would likely not recover in advertising, so we decided to use a SuperSearch for each of the tags and locations.
The Featured Jobs are handled by Electric Function’s Membrr. We used this module on Director-ee, and it makes paid job listings a breeze.
While this isn’t a necessary addon, we saved some time with Zenbu, which streamlined our edit entries page and allowed us to perform some quick powersearches to delete bad data while we were trying to get things just right.
We use AJW PurgeData plugin to automatically purge job listings older than 30 days from the system (Free)
Finally, we used the great Low Replace plugin to manipulate data that we received back from the feeds, to bend it to our will 
On a side note, while not EE related, we did incorporate a responsive web design on this one, so re-size your browser for a good time.

What I want to know is why you didnt think to include the other side of this issue ? There are so many things that youre missing here that I dont see how you could actually form an intelligent opinion on the subject. Its like you didnt even consider that there me be another side here.
